Success with Emerick Elementary PTO 3rd Annual Crop

My Make 'N Take for the event. I choose the Typeset paper packet since it was fitting that we were in a school for the day.  The banners, stars, file folder label, ticket and "STAR" letters are all cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and stamped with coordinating stamp sets, "Vintage Type" and "Blue Ribbon". We made barn stars with a scoring board  which are quick and adorable, and finished the layout off with my new favorite CTMH product, Baker's Twine.

Twenty-eight croppers, up from 14 last year

Super scrappers hard at work
It was a busy but really fun day yesterday being both an organizer and vendor at my daughter's Emerick Elementary PTO's 3rd Annual Scrapbook Crop.  We went from 15 croppers to 28 this year and received incredible support from area businesses with fabulous door prizes and raffles. Croppers received a delicious egg casserole and sweet breads from local restaurant and caterer, Round Hill's Savoir Fare; coffee from McDonald's; lunch from Wegman's; dinner was pizza from Vocielli's and a giant tossed salad from Purcellville's Main Street Wings.  Snacks were baked goods from Emerick volunteers and a delicious "scrapbook" cake from local resident Pam Grimard.  What a success - we raised nearly $1400 for the school!

Studio J Princess Party Fun

I had fun making this cute layout in Studio J for my own scrapbook of a Princess Party class that I did at our local Loudoun Valley Community Center in January 2012. I love teaching this class, and I'm excited by this cute layout so I'll always remember the experience with these sweet girls!
This is one of my all-time favorite classes to teach. I love the "before" and "after" pictures in this layout!  Their cute transformations into princesses was so adorable.  I did their hair, nails and makeup and then the girls posed for their "Princess Photo Shoot". We played games and did crafts.

Each of the girls received the following 12" x 12" digital scrapbook page with their name and photos from the shoot to either frame or put in their family's scrapbook!

Click here to start creating your own fabulous Studio J digital scrapbook pages. It's free to register and play as much as you want. You only pay when you decide to buy. Special Birthday Girl and Scrapi Bday Party!

I was really had fun with this Scrapi Birthday Party - it was for one of my favorite clients!  Callie has been to Scrapi Summer Camp two years in a row and participated in my afterschool class for two years.  I love scrapbooking with her. It's been fun to see what fabulous pages she can come up with using her own jazzy style!

For her party, she planned the projects and even the papers she wanted me to use in designing the projects.  I designed the thank you notes and cut all the materials, and Callie put them all together to send to her friends. What a Scrapi - even with a broken arm she is amazing at scrapbooking.

Callie was so excited by this scrapbook cake - my neighbor and friend Pam Grimard did such a great job!

Callie (and her broken arm) with our first project.  The girls had a great time putting this "Follow Your Dreams" Journal together, featuring the Roxie paper that Callie choose for her theme. She loved the zebra print from this paper collection. The stamp set we used is the "Hooray Bouquet" which is not only beautiful but it coordinates with the CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.  Just stamp and adhesive, and the girls were all set without any cutting out. Gotta love that!

The party girls with the birthday girl!

Scrapi Traci and Callie! I think we were supposed to be doing the "peace sign" but it looks like I'm making scissors. Perfectly Scrapi (and dorky) all the time!

The invitation using Roxie with the "Mad About You" SOTM set, "It's A Party" Art Philosophy stamp set, Bling Assortment, and the White Daisy Die-Cut Cards and Envelopes.

To come . . . pics of our fun second project and the thank you notes that Callie put together after the party for her guests!

I love putting together these Scrapi Birthday parties!

CTMH's Fun New Milk Cartons

CTMH's new My Creations Milk Cartons are so unique.  Take a look at this fun design that my esteemed leader, Fancy Melissa, came up with at our last Team Crop.

The flower is cut from the fabulous Cricut CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge(Z1686), and stamped with one of my favorite new stamp sets called "Just For You" (B1398) from the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book.  It's just crazy silly how much fun CTMH has made stamping by pairing gorgeous new stamp sets with the new Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  My Cricut and I are big buddies now!!

This design also features another new stamp set (which also coordinates with the AP cartridge) called "Enjoy" (C1496). The paper used is my featured kit this month, Stella (X71478).  I have been loving working with these fun papers this month - the bright colors are some of my favorites with CTMH!  Finally, the project is finished off with some natural hemp (Z280).

The Milk Cartons come in a pack of 2 with 2 closure clips (Z1739), or you can add CTMH's new Metal Clips (Z1711) for an extra special touch!
