New Product Blog Hop for Spring/Summer 2013 CTMH Idea Book

Thanks for stopping by my SCRAPI TRACI blog after checking out Jen Patrick's fabulous artwork during this CTMH Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book New Product Hop.  

This new Idea Book is filled with so many treasures! I am a huge CTMH addict and a very happy one with so much fun stuff to play with over the new few months.  Deciding what to create for this hop was so difficult and focusing on one item was just too hard.  I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with too because there are so many new items that I can't wait to play with like the new Kraft Container, the Clear Pillow Boxes, both Small and Large Paper Creations and the 6"x6" Canvas Display.  I could go on and on but I will just stop and show you the following, which are three different projects that I wanted to showcase, all listing the new products being used:

1). Later Sk84 One Page Snow Layout - I thought the splashes of white on the Later SK84 design was perfect for snow with the Slate, Pear and Lagoon cardstock and inks.  I sneaked in a little bit from the "Dotty" pack because I loved the lagoon polka dots with this paper and the NEW Washi Slate Polka-Dot Tape and the NEW Buttercup polka-dot Chantilly Textiles.  I was dying to use the NEW Spinners and Wheel of Life stamp set and I thought it was fun with this layout. I finished it up with the Canvas Letters, inked black, and the Black and Grey Assortment Sparkles. The stamp set I used is the Snowflakes stamp set that coordinates with the Cricut AP.

2). Chantilly Two 2-Page Layouts - I loved planning with Chantilly so much that I go carried away and came up with two layouts, both of which I will now use for my March layouts. Besides the NEW Chantilly paper, the layouts feature the NEW Chantilly Complements Dimensional Elements, NEW Chantilly Assortment, NEW Pink Glitter Gems, NEW Blush Small Floral Chantilly Textiles (see top right on 2nd layout for flower) and NEW Hollyhock Zipper Lace (also 2nd layouts).

3). For Always "Family" Bracket Frame - My frame features the NEW black polka-dots For Always Textile, NEW Black Shimmer Trim, NEW Girls Rock stamp set (flower top left and bottom right) and Black Glitter button from the NEW Black Assortment Buttons. The "Family" is stamped with the Trinity Alphabet and everything is cut using the Cricut AP Cartridge. For full details on this frame, click here. "Hooray" for Spellbound Card

Here's another fun card that I made with CTMH's new WOTG Spellbound Cricut Kit to show how this kit has so many more options for you besides just a party in a bag!  Besides the super fun Spellbound paper, the shapes are from CTMH's Cricut Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridges, and the "hooray" imagei is from the Artiste Collection stamp set. Card layout is from "Make It From Your Heart" Volume I, pattern 24. I finished the card off with buttons from the Sunset Mini-Medley, Sunset Baker's Twine and sparkles from the Black and Grey Assortment. I hope you like it!

"Lasso A Stamp Set" CTMH Convention Contest Entry

I am so excited to attend my third Close To My Heart Convention this July 12 - 14 in Dallas, Texas.  To date, we have sixteen people coming from our Get Fancy and Scrapi Sisters Team so it will be a fabulous time!  I'm especially excited about all the new fun crafting time we will have this year.  It definitely will be a can't miss event so if you are not registered yet, what are you waiting for?

Following is my contest entry for the "Lasso A Stamp Set" Contest.  Our only requirement was to use the enclosed "Stars Shine Bright" postcard.  Since I'm completely and utterly obsessed with the new National Scrapbook Month promotional kit, "Dotty For You", I had to use these papers to create my layout.  My Fall Pumpkin Carving pictures went perfectly with the kit colors and it was a nice fun change from the usual Fall papers!  I'm thrilled with how it turned out!

With the "Dotty For You" papers, I also used CTMH Dimensional Elements Notable Alphabet, Stars, and Persnickety Journaling Spots - all coordinating beautifully with my Cricut Art Philosophy shapes.  I also used our fabulous new Baker's Twine and finished the layout off with both Sunset and Lagoon Mini-Medley Collection pieces.

Here is my artwork using this stamp set.  I've been wanting to play with the My Creations Bookmark Album and I knew this stamp set would work perfectly.  I paired it with the new Florentine papers, My Stickease, and lots and lots of super fun coordinating embellishments. All CTMH all the way - most of the embellishments are all new to the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book too, ie. Wooden shapes, color-ready ribbon, bouquet assortment, paradise flowers, baker's twine, etc, etc!  I'm so happy with how it turned out and can't wait to add my pictures and journaling.  It's going to be a birthday present this month for my Mom!  

The only issue I had is that I made the album much too fat with all of my embellishments (got a little crazy there), so I had to cut off the cute magnetic flap. I think it still works great without them and I now know that my pages need to be very flat to use the album with the adorable closed flap.  Just an excuse to make another one . . .

Special Birthday Girl and Scrapi Bday Party!

I was really had fun with this Scrapi Birthday Party - it was for one of my favorite clients!  Callie has been to Scrapi Summer Camp two years in a row and participated in my afterschool class for two years.  I love scrapbooking with her. It's been fun to see what fabulous pages she can come up with using her own jazzy style!

For her party, she planned the projects and even the papers she wanted me to use in designing the projects.  I designed the thank you notes and cut all the materials, and Callie put them all together to send to her friends. What a Scrapi - even with a broken arm she is amazing at scrapbooking.  

Callie was so excited by this scrapbook cake - my neighbor and friend Pam Grimard did such a great job!

  

Callie (and her broken arm) with our first project.  The girls had a great time putting this "Follow Your Dreams" Journal together, featuring the Roxie paper that Callie choose for her theme. She loved the zebra print from this paper collection. The stamp set we used is the "Hooray Bouquet" which is not only beautiful but it coordinates with the CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.  Just stamp and adhesive, and the girls were all set without any cutting out. Gotta love that!

CTMH's Fun New Milk Cartons

CTMH's new My Creations Milk Cartons are so unique.  Take a look at this fun design that my esteemed leader, Fancy Melissa, came up with at our last Team Crop.  

The flower is cut from the fabulous Cricut CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge(Z1686), and stamped with one of my favorite new stamp sets called "Just For You" (B1398) from the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book.  It's just crazy silly how much fun CTMH has made stamping by pairing gorgeous new stamp sets with the new Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  My Cricut and I are big buddies now!!

This design also features another new stamp set (which also coordinates with the AP cartridge) called "Enjoy" (C1496). The paper used is my featured kit this month, Stella (X71478).  I have been loving working with these fun papers this month - the bright colors are some of my favorites with CTMH!  Finally, the project is finished off with some natural hemp (Z280).

The Milk Cartons come in a pack of 2 with 2 closure clips (Z1739), or you can add CTMH's new Metal Clips (Z1711) for an extra special touch!
