2nd Emerick Elementary PTO Crop A Success

I had a great time planning Emerick Elementary's 2nd Annual PTO Scrapbooking Crop with my good friend and "Bun Bun Bag" Lady Jennifer Heffron.  The crop was a huge success - we raised over $600 for the school.

We were so fortunate to have so many businesses support our efforts and even luckier to have the tenacity of Jen Heffron, who didn't hesitate to ask anyone for a donation.

The crop attendees received breakfast and all-day snacks and drinks courtesy of Wegman's, Giant and Bloom plus coffee courtesy of It's Bazaar on 21st Street. The majority of lunch was donated by Lovettesville's Market Table Bistro and dinner by Vocelli's.  Purcellville resident and former Emerick parent Pam Grimard donated the fabulous scrapbook themed cake shown below.  As if we didn't have enough to eat, Emerick bakers also provided some additional delicious baked goods.

Other businesses also provided generous gift certificates that we used as raffles, including Massage Therapist Kristen McKenzie, Let's Dish, Savoir Faire Restaurant, Salon Allure, Nailtiques, Pampered Chef, and a gorgeous Scrapbook Bag from Bun Bun Bags.

Attendees also received hourly door prizes throughout the day from me, our Stampin' Up and Creative Memories reps, and the many other businesses that generously provided products or gift certificates, including Everyday Elegance, It's Bazaar on 21st Street and Twigs.
Here is the card that all attendees received from me with a complimentary CTMH Spray Pen and instructions for the pen attached.  I embossed the "Smile" from the new "Take A Picture" Stamp set in CTMH White Embossing Powder. Then I used my spray pen (filled with Tulip re-inker and water) across the image (a small boxed worked perfectly as my background) and wiped the ink off the "Smile".  To complete the card, I edged the white cardstock in tulip ink, added a beautiful rosette ribbon flower and pompom ribbon flower from the new Pink Collection Designer Ribbon with Pearl Opaques in each flower center.

I used a beautiful B&T sheet from the Sophia kit and Pear cardstock, edged the white cardstock in Tulip, and finished the card off with a Hollyhock Photo Clip!

Here is the Make 'N Take that the majority of attendees put together. I offered the first page free with the coordinating page for only $3. I used a Wings Level 2 Paper Packet, Pear, Juniper and White Cardstock, Vineyard Berry, Sweet Leaf and Juniper inks, and black ribbon and brads. The stamp sets used is the new "Dreams Come True" and the Miracle's WOTG exclusive stamp set for the adorable pinwheels.  Many of the flowers are made using the rock 'n roll technique. The pinwheels are finished off with pearl opaques!

The most rewarding thing for me from the day was seeing folks go back to their tables and immediately add pictures to this layout! Super cool!
