"I Am Mad About" December's SOTM

If you've just come from Lori Brown's blogfor the SOTM Blog Hop, welcome!  I LOVE this stamp set and can't wait to play with it even more when I have more time.   I especially love that this "Mad About You" set includes stamps that coordinate with CTMH's Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. Super fun and cute!

Here is what I had to come up with super quickly during this busy month, but I am excited because it's the perfect February page for the 2011 12-month calendar I am designing again this year for a two-part class for some of my clients.  I can't wait to get it on the calendar page and work on the coordinating "FEBRUARY" date page that goes with it.   Sorry, I couldn't do it for this picture - think it would look much better shown as it was designed to be used for.

I just had to use the gorgeous Roxie Paper Packet and lots of Cricut images.  The flowers are stamped using the big heart image from this set in Tulip before I rolled them.  I also used the heart stamp for the butterflies.  The bling pin has embroidery floss wrapped around it to give it some added dimension for the butterflies' body.  I used the heart stamp again in black on the Roxie paper (clearly I LOVE this heart stamp from this set). Finally, I used the rock and roll technique to stamp the "Happy Valentine's Day" with both the desert sand and smoothie inks.

I hope you like it! I would love you to leave me some comments and even become a follower!!

Also, here's a look at last year's 2010 calendar project, if you are interested and also so you can get a better feel for how this page is going to be used:  http://scrapitraci.blogspot.com/2010/10/2011-calendar-project-finished-loving.html).

Thanks for stopping by. Now on to Karen Fullam's blogIf you want to see the entire hop list, click here!

Just a reminder, you only have to spend $50 to get this cute stamp set for $5.  Click here if you can't wait another minute and need to get it right now!!

"Give Thanks" Banners

One of my friends and neighbors ordered a "Give Thanks" banner for displaying on her mantle this year.  I really enjoyed playing with my CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge to come up with many of the enhancements.  The Notable Alphabet, which coordinates with the cartridge, worked perfectly for the letters.  The paper used is from last year's Olivia - the only request I had was for rich colors and each panel in a different color so Olivia worked out perfectly with a large mix of the beautiful deep Fall CTMH cardstocks.

I made two slightly different versions so I could keep one for my mantle too! Since I love how both came out, figured I wouldn't be disappointed with either.

In addition to the numerous rich cardstocks, Olivia B&Ts, I also added a couple extra embellishments  - the "Family" die-cut chipboard shape from the Lucky Level 2 Assortment, bling-bling from the Mocha Opaques Adhesive Gems, and ribbon from the Cocoa Collection.I loved figuring out how many fun leaves and branches I could make with AP cartridge with all the unique options - layers, decoration layers, etc. This project really got me more acquainted with the ridiculous number of shapes, tags, cards, project, letter choices!!  I hope you like!!!

Any of my projects are available through custom orders!  If you don't have the Art Philosophy cartridge yet, click here to get your own copy. The cartridge is only $99 for three coordinating stamp sets, three coordinating chipboard pieces plus the cartridge itself (incredible deal).

Or, email me your order at traci@scrapitraci.com if you think you'd spend an additional $50 because then you could become your own hostess and earn $25 in free project (not to mention all the other special for discounted stamp of the months and the new Rock the Block special).

6" x 6" Olive Quick Pic Album for Cheer Team with Classic and Digital Scrapbooking

This first page was done in Studio J - I'll send the jpg of this layout to Costco for additional copies.

This simple layout was done using CTMH's Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge for the lettering and the star images.

This layout was fun - I used an image from CTMH's new Instant Memories stamp set to make the subdued patterned paper, and sentiments on the scalloped circle from our punch.  The tag is from the Art Philosophy cartridge, finished off with green sparkles.

I love the look of the Kraft cardstock with the new Milepost shapes and Kraft borders.  The right page will say "Follow Your" in ponderosa pine (which I'm awaiting my order). The sentiments and star images were stamped in white daisy ink.

This page is perfect for our star cheerleaders. The stamp is from an old "You Rock" set that I continue to use over and over again for my kid projects.  Again, sparkles finishes the layout.

This layout features My Stickease from the old "You Rock" collection that I picked up at a great clearance price.
My daughter and I got a laugh out of this layout. It's supposed to say "Fear The Oar", one of their Oarsmen sayings and instead I put "Feel the Oar".  Just hadn't had a chance to fix yet plus it makes me laught.  The tag and letters are cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge and threaded with white ribbon.

Funky image on the left was cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge and then edged with a fun star punch which I also used for the right border piece.  The award image was cut from a Sports Mania Cricut cartridge, placed on a circle from our punch!

Here is the last page that I did as the coordinating layout in Studio J. I simply scanned their formal team picture and perfect!

This class is scheduled tomorrow and I'm excited to have the team put this together. I choose individual pictures for each of the girls from pictures that I took and other parents so they will leave this class with a personalized album!!  The finishing touch will be to get their teammates and coaches to sign the inside cover, for a fabulous keepsake from the season!

6" x 6" Pansy Purple Album for All-Star Gymnastics Team

I am loving these new 6" x 6" quick pic albums.  Here's a fun and quick album that I put together for an upcoming team building class for an All-Star Gymnastics Team.

The team's colors are purple and black. It was fun crafting this using a wide assortment of CTMH products and only a couple outside products. Take a look. Hope you like it!

Love the layering options on CTMH's Art Philosophy Cartridge, fun tags and images like the stars. I used white, black and gyspy CTMH cardstock and gypsy ink plus one of the purple sparkles.

This page is using a Cricut Sports Mania cartridge that was perfect for my page idea here.  Again, I used CTMH black, gypsy and white cardstock, the new milepost bulk stars, and kraft borders.

This page features the older You Rock My Stickease which I purchased several copies at the clearance rate.  So happy I did - I love the message here for team meet pictures.  I also used CTMH grey flannel and white cardstock and the shimmer designer brads.

This layout features the new "Instant Memories" stamp set, white brads, paper from the Hooligans kit and banner from the new Dimensional Elements Banners, sold individually and as part of the Art Philosophy package.

I used CTMH grey flannel, gyspy and white cardstock with blue sparkles, tags by the Art Philosophy cartridge and stamp set from the special "You and Me" kit.

CTMH's new Blue Ribbon stamp set was the perfect touch for this page.  I used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the coordinating image for the top of the ribbon and an older CTMH sentiment stamp set for the "100% Awesome".  I finished the page with one of our new fun bling buttons.

I loved the look of the Kraft cardstock with the gypsy and black.  I also used one of my favorite stamp sets from the Spring/Summer 2011 catalog that was paired with the Wings Paper Packet! Black button brads, black button, and kraft borders completed the page

This layout features another fun image from the Art Philosophy cartridge - the funky star, a scallop punch shape, purple sparkles, fun purple ribbon and decorated borders.

This final page features a Dimensional Element Star, flower, more sparkles and pin clip. The stamp set is from a old "You Rock" collection!

The front cover and back cover are perfect to get teammate and/or fan autographs with a purple or black sharpie!!

Coming next . . . a 6" x 6" Quick Pic Olive Album for my daughter's cheer team end of year party. Ponderosa Pine and Honey were perfect colors in this coordinating Olive album!!

Fun "Name Banner" - Perfectly Girly

I love how this banner turned out for my kid's class at our local Loudoun Valley Community Center.  I used the adorable Sophia Paper Packet, and my favorite new CTMH product - the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut all the flowers and letters.  I stamped some of the flower images using the new Hooray Bouquet stamp set, which is designed to coordinate with the new Cricut Cartridge, and finished it off with various embellishments (pink pom pom ribbon, sweet leaf ribbon, pink and clear buttons and of course, lots and lots of different colored sparkles and bling! Girls gotta have their bling!
